Poe-ch the Raven!
It’s Halloween afternoon, and you’ve got a costume party to attend tonight--one with a prize for the best-dressed attendee!
You’ve got the perfect, prize-winning idea: dressing up as Edgar Allan Poe, of course! The master of twisted creepiness. And you know just the thing to take your costume from pretty good to epic: A stuffed raven to perch on your shoulder. Good thing you have a sister who is obsessed with all things Poe and has just what you need. And she happens to not be home.
You walk into her room, which is filled with homages to the great storyteller and poet, to borrow her raven, but when you go to open the trunk where she stores her Poe paraphernalia, it’s locked tight with 5 different locks. Geez, she takes her Poe seriously, you think to yourself. You text her, pleading for the combinations, but she responds, “Nevermore! Do you even know anything about Poe? If you want to dress like him, you’ve got to understand the man. And if you learn more about him, I think you can crack those locks.” The party is tonight, and you need that raven! You look around her room and realize that your sister probably has everything you need to learn enough about Poe to open the trunk, nab the raven, jet to the costume party and win the top prize! But can you do it before the party starts?
